This year, the team that runs Penn’s Global Activities Registry has been selected as a winner for developing and administering the University’s central resource for collecting information about the travel plans and activities of faculty, staff, and students who travel abroad for academic, educational, or University business purposes. Team members include: Jim Cunningham of the Perelman School of Medicine, Ben Evans of the Division of Finance, Barbara Gorka of the Office of International Programs, Erika Gross of University Life, Charles Harvey, Edda Katz, and Jamie Keane of Information Systems & Computing (ISC), and Jen Miller of the Business Services Division.

The two other award winners are Deborah Marshall of the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS), who reinvigorated the grant management activities in SAS, and Lucy Wolf Tuton of the Perelman School of Medicine, who created a multidisciplinary academic and community partnership program providing health-related services to underserved populations.

An honorable mention is being awarded to Jeffrey Ballentine of ISC who independently resolved the challenges faced by the Penn community when connecting to the University's wireless network.

A second honorable mention is going to the Load Serving Entity Campus Energy Management Program Team for establishing a cost-savings plan to manage Penn’s electricity needs. The members of the team are Marilyn Jost, Jonathan Klein, Gerald McGillian, William McKeaney, Kenneth Ogawa, Michael Stack, and Eric Swanson from Facilities and Real Estate Services; Jee He Kim and Helen Kreider of the Division of Finance; and Roman Petyk of the President’s Center.
