The Penn Bookstore and Computer Connection are making shopping for the holidays sweeter with treats for your tummy and discounts on items throughout the stores. 

On Thursday, Dec. 13, and Friday, Dec. 14, nearly everything in the Bookstore, except textbooks, will be offered at a 20 percent discount during its annual “Sale-A-Bration.”

From 4 to 6 p.m. each day, shoppers will be treated to free hot chocolate and cookies. In addition, customers can get a free photo of themselves standing in front of a wintery scene.

“It’s to get people in the mood, and thinking red and blue for the holidays,” says Ilene Wilder, director of marketing and business development for the Business Services Division (BSD).

Objects on sale include cufflinks made with wood from The Palestra, as well as popular Penn T-shirts, and hoodies for adults and for young, future Penn students.

The festivities are a dear old Penn tradition.

“This was an event that the old Penn Bookstore used to have each year, and it was a celebration, ‘Sale-A-Bration’ for the community,” says Christopher Bradie, associate vice president in the BSD.

Computer Connection is also offering many specials with coupons in the Holiday Wishbook catalog, recently sent to Penn employees’ campus mailboxes. 

In addition, shoppers who purchase an iPad mini will receive a $25 gift card to Computer Connection. Consumers who purchase an iPad Retina will receive a free Smart Cover.
