Could you describe your job duties?
“I’m an eclectic, reptile-loving special species veterinarian that loves working with pets. Each of my patients are an extension of my pet family, so we treat them with compassion, provide them with optimal medical care, and share our affections to aid in their recoveries.”

What’s unique or special about the space where you work?
“[At the Ryan Veterinary Hospital], we offer the same services, advanced treatments, and diagnostic capabilities that are available for people to animals—CT, MRI, chemotherapy, minimally invasive surgery, dialysis, renal transplants, you name it. We truly offer the best medical options for our beloved animals.”

What’s the most challenging aspect of working with animals?
“Reversing client misconceptions about their pets. Many of our unique species have very specific husbandry requirements and live for many years. Never impulse buy; learn where the animal comes from in the wild to best adapt your home for them.”

What’s the best part about your job?
“The best part about my job is getting to work with the same animals I read about as a kid. I live my dream each day. My patients seem to understand we are helping, and that is the most rewarding feeling in the world.”
